Out Now: The Clicking

The title of this is “Out Now” but that’s considering my timing. A month ago, Screaming Banshee Press published a sequel to their 2020 anthology Aberrations (which featured my Frozen in the Abyss).
Editor Chris McInally — also at the helm of two Contact books I’ve contributed to — leads a great team again here, featuring Jonathan Maberry, Pamela Jeffs, Pauline Yates, Deborah Sheldon, Julian Carver, Paul McNamee, Ian Michael, David Rose, and yours truly in usual combo with my lovely wife Valentina Kay.
“The Clicking“, our own creature, is a tale set in our Canary Islands — on an unnamed minor island which may well be the one we live on — where three adventurous friends explore an abandoned, creaking, rust-and-concrete abomination. The decrepit ruin of a half-built, half-crumbled hotel from back in the Eighties. Built right on the edge of a cliff upon the hungry Atlantic and sitting upon a volcanic bubble. Where a prideful prick wanted to build a spa. It did not go well.
